Thanks to everyone who came out to lend a hand at the 2025 Wilhelmina Holder Memorial Cookout and Bookbag/School supplies giveaway. The food was plentiful, thanks to TossedNJ for the glazed chicken, pasta salad, yellow rice, macaroni salad, meatballs, tossed salad, baked beans, fried chicken and our grill masters who kept the cheeseburgers, and hotdogs coming. The Friends of the Newark Library distributed free books and attendees also took time to sign up for free library cards. The school supplies and bookbags were plentiful and our food servers ensured that everyone was fed. We thank everyone who supported and promoted this event and Council President, Larry Crump, the Victoria Foundation and Community Foundation of NJ for their generous donations.
