The Career Exploration Day at Weequahic High School was an awesome event. Kudos to the staff members who organized this awesome event and all of the organizations and the 40+ agencies that were represented including: The Port Authority of NY/NJ, Newark Fire Department, Police Department, EMTS, Department of Corrections, Hillside Food Bank, AMAZON, Council for Airport Opportunity, Lincoln Tech, Universal Institute, Aviation, Inc, Air Traffic Controllers, Inc, Farmland Milk, and various others. The students were engaged, respectful, attentive and asked great questions. Would love to see this event in all of our schools. The students entered each hour by grade and the students were grateful to receive information for FREE subject tutorial opportunities via YMS, Summer Programs and employment opportunities, college prep sessions and community service events.
