The High School Academic Support Program is a college preparatory program which guides high school students in their pursuit of higher education, specifically the college admissions process. Our target population is high school juniors and seniors who reside in the Newark and Greater Newark Community; particularly, minority and socio-economically disadvantaged teens who attend public, charter, private and parochial schools.

  • Assist students with college and scholarship applications
  • College Essay Writing
  • Mentoring
  • Assist in eradicating academic and social/emotional challenges in high school
  • Resume/Cover letter Building
  • Assist students with summer pre-college programs, internships, and summer employment
  • Coach students through interview process and Networking with professionals

The High School Academic Support Program observed its 30th Anniversary on September 15, 2021. It has been very rewarding to assist over 6000 teens in their college admissions process. In September 1991, we begin hosting FREE SAT Prep Classes and assisted high school seniors with their college applications, essays, financial aid and prom planning.
