FAFSA Preparation Workshops

The HSASP will be hosting FAFSA Preparation Workshops across the City to assist teens who have not completed their FAFSA. According to a recent news report, only 41% of graduating seniors have completed their financial aid. Our sessions will be held at various Newark Public Library branches, the Haynes Building and UVSO. We will be training several college students to assist in this effort.

The Newark Learning Collaborative, ALI, YMS and the Higher Education Assistance Authority will be partnering in this effort, providing training and literature/materials for this initiative.
