Please make sure parents bring this information with them or at least have this done by the 31st:
- FSA ID and Password (for the student and and all information contributors)
- Copy of all 2022 Federal Income Tax Returns and W-2 forms for student (if applicable) and parent(s)
- Social Security or Individual Tax Identification numbers for parent and social security number for the student. If the student is not a U.S. Citizen, Alien Registration number or documentation as U.S. Permanent Resident. (if the student is not a citizen or eligible non-citizen, they should not complete the FAFSA and should refer to the NJ Dreamer application)
- Records of balances in checking and savings – for student and parent(s)
- Marital Status of parent(s) and date of marital status (for example, the date of marriage)
- Student Driver’s License # (if applicable)
To create your User ID and Password go to https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/ and create the two ID’s, one for the student and one for a parent.
The students will use their login to access the FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov, the parent(s) will use their ID to link to IRS and to sign the FAFSA.
